Taking point of departure in a large scale PFLP hijacking that took place in 1970; the so-called Dawsons Field hijackings the text piece investigates the discourses that surrounded early terror.
The collected material consists of witness accounts from three different positions; the hijacker, the hostage and the journalist.
The text piece is comprised of several different types of text: One is written autobiographies of the three involved positions. Another type of text are interviews with the involved about interviews that were conducted at the time it was taking place.
By crossing out specific parts of the collected material and leaving other parts readable, the letter points to the significance of the body in greater international political events, like this hijacking.
With the methodology that is applied to the autobiographical accounts, the piece investigates the possibility of a bodily cognition, which preconceives the political standpoints that still characterize the public debate around terrorism today. The interviews put this into further perspective, by examining the whole apparatus called Body Politics in the discourse surrounding international political events, such as this.
