Solo-show at Aarhus Art Building

Diplopia is an installation consisting of video, photography and architectural elements. By using a method called future-archeologi, the installation creates a science fiction universe with archive material from the periodical The Whole Earth Catalog (1968-’71), which was one of the early cradles of the modern ecological movement with a strong vision of a sustainable future.
Diplopia explores the material in the catalogue and a front cover photograph of the earth viewed from space. Against the background of this material ideas are created of the potential of the image as imagined by the Whole Earth Catalog and of the near future and its attitude towards originals and copies.
