It is my artistic ambition to produce art that has an investigative and critical optic on the world we live in both politically and culturally.
A common feature of my works is that they often pull fragments out of the everyday image and information flow – and assemble them into new poetic-critical (humoristic) constellations.
Often I use series to shoot the same theme from different angles and illuminate questions to the world, which I am intuitively occupied by, and through that give them a language and a form. It is a method that can be compared to analyzing a subject by looking at it from different angles in order to understand its nature and composition.
I am very occupied by us as a humanity and I see the world as wholly full of energies and correlations and where your development is also my development. On our planet everything is linked, everything is connected, and everything has an interaction. It is that whole which I find interesting and which I am dealing with by focusing on various aspects and forms.
It can be climate and politics but also close relationships between a man and a woman; between the child and adult. The most important work as an artist is to find the internal law of each project or series. And afterwards I can actually let it all go and leave it to others – also when it comes to the interpretation of the artwork then I have no monopoly once it is done.
