LIVING LENSES introduction video

2007

Living Lenses is an on-going exploration of the world we live in, the world we live by, and the world we dream of. Media and methodology that we use are borrowed from all aspects of human ingenuity and stupidity, and they are in continuous evolution guided by the uniqueness of every site we encounter.

We believe that we live day in and day out, in a reality that is constantly inspiring the most wonderful and tragic human interactions. Our paradigms guided perceptions of what is around us determine our own version of that shared reality. Living Lenses subject matters are bits and pieces of that everyday reality out there in public places. We act as Living Lenses to draw focus on the conscious and unconscious layers of meaning inherent in a place, as well as inevitably introducing elements for possible mutation. And nothing that is peculiarly human is too banal or sacred for our curiosity.
