Domestic violence passes easily unnoticed. Consciously or not, those closest to it are often blind to it.
‘Domestic Violence’ is a proposal for a conventional apartment that looks ordinary at first glance. A closer look reveals cuts and tears running right through it making misfits that have been painstakingly repaired. The apartment no longer fits together quite right. It is as if the space itself has made a desperate attempt of pulling itself together and keeping up appearances. Anyone who looks carefully enough will see that the apartment has been the victim of, and witness to, repeated acts of violence.
It is a question of how close you really want to look.
